In 2008 I built a guitar from a Grizzly kit. It was my first attempt at dying wood so I spent hours trying it and sanding it back. In the end it ended up much darker than I anticipated but, I couldn’t be happier with the result. I’ll post some photos shortly.

Now I am building a guitar for my son. It is a 3/4 size electric children’s guitar. The body is built from two pieces of 3/4″ plywood that has been encapsulated in epoxy. Since I have never been one to leave well enough alone, I ordered a tiger maple veneer and covered the face. I plan on dying it a lighter honey amber color since that is my son’s favorite color. ¬†Pictures will come as I complete the build.
